Meet Julie & Stuart, your innkeepers blending their passions in history with a historic bed and breakfast.
In 2014, Julie Hearley and Stuart Koehler got engaged and later started their own business. While they haven’t had the time to get married yet, they have become active members of their new community, holding board positions on the Chamber of Commerce, and economic development and affordable housing boards for the city of Baraboo. Julie holds a B.S. in Management Computer Systems and has worked as a computer programmer for over 25 years. She is also a musician, loves to cook and garden, and has experience in event planning. On the other hand, Stuart graduated from UW Madison with a B.A. in Art in 1979, and later earned an M.B.A. from Cardinal Stritch College in 2001. He has over 35 years of managerial, property, operations, and business management experience, has authored a book, and has run several businesses.
They opened the Ringling House Bed & Breakfast in 2015, which perfectly aligns with their interests in history, cooking, hospitality, parties, socializing, music, gardening, writing, and events. They continue to make improvements to the other estate buildings and host fundraisers to cover costs. The main house, where the bed and breakfast is situated, has undergone significant enhancements and is now open for visitors to enjoy. Guests are welcomed to experience their hospitality by booking a room at the Ringling House Bed & Breakfast.
