The great Circus Parade was this weekend in Baraboo, and what a great parade it was! The Ringling House Bed & Breakfast sponsored a circus wagon from Circus World Museum for that parade. To our delight, and my nieces, Sophia & Trinity Ikner who were carrying our sponsorship banner, they were carrying the banner for the white tiger! I took some shots while they were coaxing the tiger to go from it’s cage to the circus wagon before the parade started:
Finally he made it in and they closed the gate behind him. It is amazing how the mannerisims are similar to that of a domestic cat. Because of that relationship, I can see how some people mistakenly assume a tiger is “tame”. Here is the tiger after it was safely loaded into the circus wagon cage:
My nieces, and their cousing Tiffany with our banner:
I can’t forget about the giraffe and the camels, who where unashamedly helping themselves to the local trees:
While waiting around in the line-up, my niece Sophia spotted an unusual site; two elephants walking down the middle of birch street, getting ready for the parade line-up. Where else can you witness two elephants, walking down a city street, in glittering head gear? Yes, our own, Baraboo, WI!
